You may know me from my books, from Facebook, from Goodreads, Twitter, and of course my other blog: Journey Thoughts. I love to write…that’s obvious, but I also love to read. I have participated in so many book blog hops I’ve lost count! I’ve participated and promoted authors and their books in a fair number of blog tours as well. I am an author and I know how difficult it is to market and promote your books to the reader.
That’s where “Word Salt” comes in!
Colossians 4:6
- “Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.”
How is our speech seasoned with salt? By it being virtuous, and that can only be by the faithful witness of the Word. Then and only then is it speech which cannot transgress, because it’s the testimony of Christ.
That’s what “Word Salt” is all about. This blog is for Christian authors and writers to have the opportunity to meet, greet and fellowship. To learn about one another, exchange some practical writing tips and read some good book reviews. (Read the about page for more info.)
As an author, called by God to write, I am always looking for new ways, and let’s be honest,…cheap ways to promote my books. For new and “seasoned” authors alike, I hope “Word Salt” will be helpful to you to promote yourself and your books. Welcome to “Word Salt“!
What a year! This is a day to celebrate. Word Salt was launched last year on February 3rd and since that day we’ve conducted/posted close to 75 author interviews, reviewed some great Christian books, had a lot of fun with Literary Friday Funnies and enjoyed and applied the great writing tips and advice from some experts and authors in the publishing and marketing world. Another impressive “stat” is the number of readers from around the world! Thank you to all those who have subscribed to this writing blog!
